Adam Downing

Adam Downing is a Freshman at Northwestern. While he is correctly undeclared in the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences Adam is interested in Political Science and Journalism, both of which he’s considering as a major. Outside of MUN Adam is an active member of the Ski Team, Associated Student Government, and the Daily Northwestern, as well as being involved in the Launch program here on campus. Adam is originally from just outside Denver, Colorado and hopes to be an asset to the NUMUN Travel Team as the competitive season begins.

Ariel Sheffey

Ariel is a sophomore from Highland Park, Illinois studying English, Political Science, and Legal Studies. She is currently the NUMUN Director of Content, and she previously served as the moderator for U.S. Senate. Outside of NUMUN, Ariel is involved with Northwestern Hillel, Alpha Phi Omega, and the Illuminate Mentorship Program.

Hadi Shiraz

Hadi Shiraz is a freshman from Oak Brook, IL studying Economics and Computer Science. He has been a part of Model UN for three years in high-school and is looking forward to continue pursuing his passion for MUN as a part of NUMUN. Outside of NUMUN, Hadi is in avid golfer and tennis player, and he is on the club golf team for Northwestern. He is also involved with ISBE and the NU Federal Reserve Challenge Team In his free time, Hadi enjoys binge-watching Seinfeld and The Office, keeping up with current events, and playing golf casually with friends and family.

Michelle David

Michelle studies political science, economics, and environmental policy with the hopes of pursuing a career related to environmental sustainability and international development. She is the Director of Competition and current Head Delegate of the team. She has previously been a Moderator for UNESCAP and Chair for the UNEP. Beyond MUN, she enjoys working as a manager for Northwestern's Norris Student Center and volunteering through her service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega, as Pledge Coordinator. In addition to dreaming about the warm weather in her hometown of Atlanta, you can find her frequently updating her podcast playlist, listening to the Chili Peppers, or eating Cheez-Its

Isaac is a sophomore Industrial Engineering major in McCormick. He has been an active member in the Model UN community since high school, participating in and chairing a number of conferences. Outside of MUN, Isaac is a member of his dorm’s executive board. When not working on problems sets or studying, he can be found riding his bike around Chicago and Evanston exploring new neighborhoods.

Fiona Asokacitta

Fiona is a freshman in Medill studying journalism and history. Besides NUMUN she is part of the equestrian team and slam poetry club. Fiona is an avid writer, debater and public speaker. She has previously been a writer for The Jakarta Globe, Indonesia's premier English publication as well as spoken at TEDxYouth.

Josh Jacobs

Josh is a freshman studying RTVF and Economics. He's from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and loves music and sports. Outside of NUMUN, Josh is involved in the Blackout, various film sets, and Hillel.

Kamish Valiani

Kamish is a freshman from Karachi, Pakistan majoring in Journalism and Political Science. After doing Model UN for four years, he’s excited to try it at a collegiate level. Outside of NUMUN, Kamish is involved in Club Rugby. In his free time, he is relaxing out at the lake fill when it’s warm.

Keerthi Yalamanchili

Keerthi Yalamanchili is a freshman studying Learning and Organizational Change and Economics from Trumbull, Connecticut. Outside of NUMUN, she is on the Associated Student Government committee for B-Status Finances, a content contributor for the Global Engagement Summit, and a member of the Minority Business Association. This is Keerthi’s first year in NUMUN and 5th year in Model UN as a whole, as she was an avid participant in high school.

Matt Casler

Matt is a sophomore studying Social Policy, Political Science, Sociology, and Spanish Language and Culture. Previously the Vice Chair for SPECPOL at NUMUN XIV, he now serves as the Chair of DISEC at NUMUN XV. Beyond MUN, Matt works on deportation research in the Buffett Institute and participates in campus marketing, political advocacy, and social equality organizations. In his minimal free time, he is probably listening to his favorite podcasts or biking along Lake Michigan.

Michael Flynn

Michael is a freshman at Northwestern pursuing majors in political science and economics with a minor in philosophy. He has been a part of Model UN for five years now as both a delegate and staffer, including serving as Secretary-General for his high school's conference, SIMUN XV. Outside of Model UN, Michael is a member of Global Engagement Summit as a member of the Multimedia and Marketing team, and works on financials for Northwestern's food magazine, Spoon NU.

Ray Solorzano

Originally from Des Plaines IL, Ray is a first year student planning on studying Social Policy with the hopes of one day entering the field of education policy. He comes into NUMUN with 4 years of high school congressional debate experience Outside of NU MUN, he is also involved in the NU Questbridge Scholars along with a being a member of Alianza, the latinx student alliance.

Will Dowdle

Will Dowdle is a sophomore from Kansas City, Missouri studying Biology. This is his second year as a collegiate delegate, and he is serving as Crisis Director for JCC USSR this year. Aside from NUMUN, Will is involved in the Northwestern University Marching Band and Phi Mu Alpha.
